My featured story this week for my upper grades is Henry's Freedom Box by: Ellen Devine and illustrated by: Kadir Nelson. Wrapping up Black History Month I'll be discussing with my students about "freedom" and what it means to be "free." They will have the opportunity to share what kind of freedoms they enjoy.
